"H.W. Crabb put out this year 36,000 vines (36 acres) of Bergundy [sic], Charbaneau [sic] and tintoria [sic] varieties. This makes his vineyard now 160 acres, and he will put out 40 acres more next Winter. Crabb is becoming a mighty man of vines."
